https://www.churchinaquitaine.org/A friendly way to start the weekend! Come as you are, no need for a partner. Scottish Country Dance ranges from very easy dances to mind-challenging ones. The two hours start off with all-level teaching (aimed primarily at beginners), then move on to intermediate and advanced.
Teaching is in French, but every formation is walked through even if you don’t speak French - and many in the group will be happy to speak English.
Every Friday at 7pm from September to June. Check our website for precise dates and times and also updates on our tariffs.

We are pleased to invite you to celebrate the Entente Cordiale which was signed on 7 April 1904 between France and Great Britain.
But to understand how these two countries signed such an agreement we have to go back to Queen Victoria who visited King Louis Philippe at Chateau d’Eu in 1843 and 1845. What made this possible under the reign of Edward VII?
We went through two world wars and Brexit and yet the Entente has survived. It has even been strengthened by the Franco-British Summit of 2023 and by the fight for European security in order to achieve a lasting peace in Ukraine.

http://afgb.frIn order to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the end of the World War II, the Anglophone associations of Chantilly, Oise are organizing an event centered upon a Popular Ball such as would have taken place spontaneously when peace was declared.
The event will take place at the fabulous Orangerie of the Chantilly Polo Club. We organised a similar event for the coronation of Charles III in 2023 which was a great success with over 400 participants and featured a livestream of the investiture ceremony, a cricket exhibition match and polo match for the King’s Cup. - We were delighted to have a wide range of anglophones attend - Indians, South Africans, Americans, Australians, as well as people from the UK. Some photos and an overview can be seen here https://www.facebook.com/AnglophonesChantilly/ This year’s event will celebrate Peace in Europe and we are extending our invitation to all nationalities.
We believe it's important to maintain the memory of the sacrifices made by all participants in the second war and we are delighted to have the assistance of the Mairie of Chantilly who have helping us to help stage this event by supporting financially the Chantilly Big Band who will be playing the 1940’s dance music. The event, that will terminate with a Jazz Club, is being run on a not-for-profit basis with any surplus being donated to a suitable charity most probably related to Ukraine.
